Policies
All cats must be brought in a carrier. Those bringing more then one cat must have separate carriers for each. Cats recognize each other by smell. After a grooming session your cat/cats will have lost their normal smell and therefore will not recognize each other. This may cause tension between otherwise loving friends.
Cats must be current on rabies and distemper vaccinations. There is a 2 week waiting period prior to grooming to ensure full coverage.
Upon arrival, please bring a telephone number of where the owner can be reached in case of emergency, as well as the name and number of the veterinary office that sees your cat, and proof of vaccinations.
Cats showing any signs of illness will be turned away. We do not accept cats that are currently being treated for ringworm. Ringworm is a highly contagious condition and all medication prescribed must be completed 2 weeks prior to your cat's visit.
We do not accept cats that show evidence of fleas. Flea dips are extremely dangerous for cats and therefore is not a service we offer. Cats spend a lot of time licking and cleaning themselves. Flea dips contain poisons that kill fleas and these poisons may become ingested by your pet during their daily cleaning ritual. Cats with fleas must be pretreated at least two weeks prior to their scheduled groom with Revolution, Advantage, or Frontline. It takes two weeks for this medicine to take full effect.
